  • Academic Innovation

    Oversees a number of sponsored initiatives to identify innovations with measurable results to suit unique needs of individuals and campuses, these include: Alternative Credit Project, Change and Innovation Lab, Presidential Innovation Lab, the Summit for Online Leadership and Strategy, and Effective Teaching Practices.


    Helps adults gain access to academic credit for formal courses and examinations taken outside traditional degree programs.

  • ACE Leadership

    ACE Leadership serves individuals and institutions that are eager to seize opportunity and embrace the challenge of serving and leading complex institutions.

  • Advancement Office

    Responsible for ACE's development and fund raising activity.

  • Center for Internationalization and Global Engagement

    Offers programs and services that enhance comprehensive internationalization on U.S. campuses and situate U.S. higher education in a global context.

  • Center for Policy Research and Strategy

    Conducts research and convenes researchers and policy makers to study issues of interest to ACE members, the media, and the higher education community.

  • Division of Government and Public Affairs

    Coordinates and publicizes the efforts of the higher education community in representing its concerns to the federal government.

  • Human Resources

    Human Resources at ACE.

  • Membership

    Provides membership services and information for eligible and member colleges and presidents (Membership is open to presidents of degree-granting institutions that are approved by a CHEA-recognized accrediting agency.

  • Military Evaluation Program

    Provides guidance to service members, civilians, military education centers, and colleges and universities interpreting military transcripts and documents.

  • Office of the General Counsel

    Addresses legal issues arising out of the activities of ACE, including advising all departments on legal matters and representing ACE in any legal actions. The office works closely with Government Relations on matters involving legislative and regulatory activities, and supports ACE members through these advocacy efforts and the submission of amicus briefs.

  • Office of the President

    The office of the president of ACE.

  • Publishing Department

    Works collaboratively with ACE staff to oversee publishing strategies and create informed content for the higher education community.
